DAY TREATMENT & TRAINING (DTA)
DAY TREATMENT & TRAINING (DTA)
Achieve’s focus at the day programs is to use personal living skills training in residential settings to foster independence and self-reliance along with physical, speech, occupational, and sensory therapies. Community integration is encouraged through outings and taking advantage of the many volunteer opportunities in our community.
By providing the individuals with structure and routine, meeting their personal goals, allowing them to express themselves, building work ethics, and life and social skills they build confidence. Additionally, developing life-long friendships takes place. The staff and individuals of each site take great pride in their program and enjoy all activities that are offered. Each person is unique and is able to pursue their own interests. Their input in planning is valued and incorporated daily. We celebrate the success of our individuals, some of whom now hold part time jobs in the community.
The individuals have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of cultural events. They visit museums, galleries, parks, businesses, and media outlets throughout Tucson and Oro Valley. In the last year they particularly enjoyed tours of the Newspaper, local radio and TV stations as well as trips to the Reid Park Zoo, The Franklin Museum, the Gem Show, 4th Avenue Street Fair, and the Sweetwater Wetlands. We annually attend the Pima Country Fair, the Rodeo Parade, and the Pumpkin Festival at Buckelew Farm as well as participating in the company wide annual Talent Show, Holiday Party and Peak Achievers, which is our version of the Olympics.

GROUP SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT (GSE)
GROUP SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT (GSE)
WHAT IS GROUP SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT?
As a service provider to individuals with developmental disabilities, Achieve strives to work with participants on assessing and developing their work skills and providing an opportunity to work in a gainful, productive and remunerative work environment. The intent of our program is to provide adults with developmental disabilities with support and assist them in developing skills, abilities, and behaviors that will enable them to attain the outlined goals relating to their vocational assessment.
Group Supported Employment (GSE) is a service that provides participants the opportunity to work in an environment that allows for maximum interaction in the community and among various businesses, with job coaching support. The service assists participants in developing skills, abilities, and behaviors that will enable them to most fully realize their vocational aspirations and support their transition into a more independent employment setting if they desire, and helps participants maintain positive work-related habits, as well as assists participants to become a part of the workforce. This service is provided at a 1:2 ratio.
Achieve utilizes a base line curriculum tool, BoardMaker, to initiate classes and vocational, certification trainings. Prior to any compensated or volunteer work, participants are assessed by a job coach/supervisor:

AFTER SCHOOL & SUMMER PROGRAM
AFTER SCHOOL & SUMMER PROGRAM
For young teenagers/adults ages 16-22 years old, who are interested in developing and building work skills, we offer a Group Supported Employment (GSE) program, operating from 8am – 4pm. GSE offers an introduction into the workplace and provides a solid, comfortable platform for individuals to launch into new, professional skills. Participants learn and gain vital information about becoming an employee, resume writing, interview skills, and are offered the opportunity for volunteer and paid work. We have two locations that serve the summer work program: Prince and Ina.
If you do not see an After School & Summer Program that fits your needs please feel free to give us a call. Our goal is to serve our families in the community as best we can and accommodations will be made if possible.
